Approche ethnographique du collectif des nigériens réntres de Libye à Niamey: entre la réintégration et la ré émigration
Keywords:
Libya, Gaddafi, trans-Saharan migrations, forced returnAbstract
Libya’s war in 2011 caused the forced return of thousands of sub-Saharan migrants, who were accused of being accomplices of Gaddafi’s regime. About 300,000 citizens from Niger returned home in vulnerable conditions, and they are now working towards being reintegrated into their society of origin. This article, based on ethnographic research in Niger’s capital, Niamey, analyzes the new conditions of this group, whose members are trying to come to terms with their failed migration and reformulate their roles in their families and society. In doing so, they are reconfiguring their collective representation in an urban community.Downloads
