Reconfigurando el entramado turístico: tres breves ensayos a cargo de “Turismografías”
Keywords:
Tourism, urban processes, Barcelona, Lisbon, Lloret de MarAbstract
Three brief ethnographic essays on tourist sites are presented by the newly formed platform “Tourismographies, a Research Network on Tourism and Urban Transformation”. First, mo-bility studies are used to understand the journey of the Erasmus students in Lisbon (Portugal) as a motivatio-nal mix of education, leisure and la-bour migration. Second, the unstable social landscape of tourist practices in Lloret de Mar (Catalonia) is presen-ted according to the ANT theoretical framework as a system of human and non-human relationships. Finally, the ethnographic account is used to ex-plain the neighbours mobilization in the face of the unsolved conflicts and conviviality problems caused by the excesses of tourist fluxes in the Bar-celoneta neighbourhood (Barcelona). The tourist city is proposed to be the paradigmatic stage of post-industrial capitalism, where it is accomplished as a total model.
