La alteridad y el exotismo en clave patrimonial turística. Aportaciones de la antropología

The fields of intangible cultural her-itage and their increasingly close re-lationships with cultural tourism are not attractive to anthropology. While intangible heritage has emerged along-side the legitimacy of the discipline on this topic, this process has most-ly been bound with the professional practice. This text reflects upon the (mostly critical) epistemological and methodological contributions Anthro-pology has made to the field of cultural tourism, analyzing some processes of heritagisation – namely of intangible heritage. The focus on Latin-American case-studies is a challenge but also an attempt to understand these complex relationships.
