The text presents an investigation that addresses the effects that the economic crisis has had on the food insecurity of different vulnerable groups in the city of Barcelona. It analyzes the strategies that people develop to face this impact, as well as points out the devices and practices that are created to respond to existing inequalities in food matters. In the course of this research, it was considered to transform the conventional
methodological proposal initially designed by the team, to think of other ways of producing knowledge that would relocate the place and role of all the actors that are part of the social reality studied, conferring centrality to the people so that they become protagonists of their own changes. From this perspective, the creation of a reflection-action group in each territory is proposed, as we will explain in this text, which exemplifies the development of this process.
