About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Quaderns-e is a digital journal published by the Institut Català d'Antropologia from 2003 to 2018. Its objective is to disseminate the results of ethnographic and anthropological research carried out in various contexts.

Quaderns-e of the Institut Català d'Antropologia was born in electronic format in 2003 to complement the printed journal Quaderns. The journal, funded by the Institut Català d'Antropologia, is indexed, and it subjects articles to blind peer review. The main objectives of the journal are to make social anthropology’s scientific contributions available to a broader public, give greater visibility to research carried out in Catalonia and create an international space for debate and discussion about our discipline.

Since 2003, Quaderns-e has been a means of expression for anthropologists from Catalonia and around the world. Many researchers have relied on the journal to disseminate the results of their ethnographic research and open up new disciplinary debates.
